Three systems to keep separate
Familiar level and growth stage unlock possibilities, but do not automatically max every skill. Passive skills apply after unlock. Active support skills must be activated and can have cooldowns, requirements and consumable costs. Battle talents are awakened and upgraded separately with Talent Orbs.
A passive ATK support bonus is not the same as a talent that triggers during combat. Talents require deployment in a march or on the wall and their activation condition, such as battle start or losses of a particular troop type.
Unlocking the system and obtaining familiars
Complete the required skirmishes to open the familiar territory (the system opens after Skirmish 8), then build the Monsterhold, Mystic Spire, Spring and Gym. Check the client’s actual locks: land access, buildings and available pacts are separate requirements.
Merge pacts in the Spire using Anima, resources and time. Opening them grants familiars, duplicate-familiar runes or fragments. Higher pact groups require Familiar-tree research. Some familiars instead need special events or offers; ordinary pacts do not contain every familiar.
Gym training and assigned heroes provide familiar EXP. Choose building counts around your daily activity. Extra pact queues are only useful when you can sustain their Anima and resource requirements.
Levels, runes and evolution
Hatchlings cap at level 20. Use that familiar’s runes to evolve into Adult, which caps at 50. At 50 you can evolve into Elder and then progress to 60. Gaining EXP alone does not replace evolution.
Skills have their own EXP, caps and familiar-level requirements. Fragments and corresponding runes develop skills; familiar EXP items level the familiar itself. Talent Orbs are for battle talents rather than ordinary passive skills.
Do not convert all runes to fragments before completing the evolution you need. Each detail page shows Adult and Elder rune requirements and separate skill EXP planning.
Farmer priorities: a suggested order
1. Territe for pact merging and daily fragments. 2. Aquiris for Anima and STA. These support the familiar system itself and parallel hero development. Unlock useful active skills before spreading every fragment evenly.
3. Harpy for VIP items; 4. Goblin for gold and gathering; 5. Gemming Gremlin for gems; 6. Trickstar for research speed and Holy Stars. Reorder these according to your bottleneck. This is a usefulness ranking, not a claim that they all come from the same pact.
Later consider Noceros for gathering completion, Magus for research helps and Hell Drider for troops. Check the exact level effect: Hell Drider does not grant T5. Farms can usually postpone expensive battle talents that they do not actually field.
Fighter priorities start with your role
Keep the economic foundation. Then choose a role: rally filler, single-type attacker, defender or rally lead. A filler’s familiar skills are not automatically identical to the leader’s deployed set; check bonus-sharing rules for your battle mode.
Accessible starting options include Territe’s Army DEF reduction and Aquiris’s Army HP reduction. Both work at battle start. Awaken only familiars that have an unlocked slot and an actual place in your lineup.
For single-type armies compare Gemming Gremlin for infantry, Trickstar for ranged and Goblin for cavalry: their talents stack ATK after that type takes losses. Gryphon provides temporary Army ATK after losses. These are conditional effects, not permanent stat additions.
Premium damage familiars are long-term rally-lead goals, not a farm’s first purchase. Match damage scaling to the army: Gargantua uses Cavalry ATK, Blackwing Ranged ATK and Bon Appeti Infantry ATK. Queen Bee, Frostwing and Huey Hops have repeated damage; inspect thresholds, hit counts and orb budgets on their pages.
Activating battle talents
Reach Elder, awaken with the correct orbs and research a Familiar Battle Slot. The tree starts at Academy 21 and research opens up to five slots. Different orb types are not automatically interchangeable.
Deploy the familiar in the relevant march or wall lineup. A loss-triggered talent needs the specified troop type and loss threshold. A battle can end before that threshold, so awakening does not guarantee activation in every fight.
In the planner, 0 → 1 is awakening; subsequent transitions upgrade the talent. Awakening is not charged again for an already awakened familiar. Some client records have no available talent, which their pages state explicitly.
A sustainable daily loop
Collect Anima, check storage, keep useful pact queues working, collect training and activate ready economic skills. A cooldown describes frequency, not a guarantee of the maximum random reward.
Time pact opening and development with relevant events without freezing progress indefinitely. Save evolution runes and concentrate fragments on the next useful resource-return skill. One skill at a useful breakpoint can beat many unfinished ones.
Avoiding mistakes and using the planner
Do not spend orbs on every familiar, fill battle slots purely by support level, or apply rally-lead spending advice to a farm. A hunt monster and its familiar version can share a model without sharing mechanics.
Open a name below and enter familiar level, growth stage and current/target skill levels. Compare the exact effect, minimum requirements and remaining cost. The separate battle block calculates orbs. This reference tool never changes your account.
Only client records with familiar skills enter the catalogue; skill-less NPC placeholders are excluded. Catalogue miniatures are still by default and animate on hover or keyboard focus. Full animations and attributes are on the individual pages. Priorities are editorial advice, not a guaranteed win ranking.
