Darknest Crusade: difficulty, counters and guild readiness

Separate event rules from normal Darknests, choose troop and Hero bonuses, and know when to stay on a lower difficulty.

Darknest Crusade: difficulty, counters and guild readiness

The objective

This is Darknest Crusade, not Chaos Arena or Adventure Log sieges. R4/R5 spends Dark Crests to choose a difficulty and summon five Vanguard nests plus one Commander. Clear the challenge within three hours to unlock the next difficulty.

DifficultyModifierOur recommendation
I–X · referenceAnti-Scout; reinforced Commander walls; Vanguard: rally losses <80% of nest losses.Portraits are hints, not proof of frontline. Inspect available reports; winning a clash may not meet its condition.
VI–X · referenceLineup changes after attacks; Vanguard grows stronger.Do not blindly repeat the last counter; reserve stronger leads for later hits.
IX–X · referenceRepairs after 2 min; rally capacity 80%.Check actual capacity and coordinate arrivals around repairs.

Troops and Heroes: counter a known frontline

Use an appropriate high troop tier and Heroes with relevant Battle Skills, checking grade and skill level. A good Colosseum Hero is not automatically a good rally Hero. A visible wall alone is not a reason to replace the main army with Siege Engines.

Can our guild win?

  • Check this difficulty’s rules, available leads and current rally quotas. Reserve both leads and time for the Commander.
  • Compare the same difficulty’s last successful clear: filled rally size, troop tier, lead ATK/HP, losses and time spare. Castle Might alone is not a win threshold.
  • After a defeat, inspect frontline, losses, damage and special conditions. Fix the counter, lead build or fill rather than repeating an identical failed rally.
  • No report, unknown lineup or changed modifiers means an unknown outcome. Confirm a lower difficulty instead of inventing a Might-based win percentage.

Guild readiness checklist

Preparation incomplete: resolve unchecked items or choose a lower difficulty. No win percentage is calculated.

Roles and rewards

The lead prepares a specialist build and attack plan. Fillers send the requested type and tier, not random mixes. Farmers contribute agreed fills and resources rather than attempting unprepared high-difficulty leads. Check wounded capacity first.

Inspect the selected difficulty’s rewards before spending. This guide does not promise normal Dark Essences for event nests or guess unreadable reward icons. Choose your guild before participating: your official notice prohibits switching participating guilds.

Sources and verification limits

Additional primary evidence: the supplied game screenshots above. Their dates and coordinates are examples. No battles or account connections were used for verification; we do not claim tested wins, a complete live reward table or unchanged historical modifiers.
