Ordinary Darknest, not Darknest Crusade
This guide concerns Kingdom-map NPC Darknests that award Dark Essence for transmutation. Darknest Crusade, Adventure Log Dark Fortresses and PvP Castles are different. Do not transfer ordinary-nest reward tables or protection rules to them.
Finding Essence 19, not a “level 19 nest”
In “need Essence 19”, the number describes the reward. Look for an ordinary Lv5, confirm Essence level in its screen/scout report, and share current coordinates with the guild. Not every Lv5 awards 19. If a quest says “at least 19”, a higher Essence may qualify; if it says exactly 19, check that requirement.

Pre-rally checklist
- A guild and a rally with at least two participants are required. The captain sets troop requirements; fillers should send the requested troops, not a random mix.
- Scout Essence level, troops, formation, Heroes and familiars. Might is not a guaranteed victory threshold. With Anti-Scout, a visible Leader is a clue, not a complete verified lineup.
- Check healing and Lab space, rally capacity, arrival timing and the captain’s active gear. Ordinary-nest casualty protection does not make any unprepared rally automatically safe.
Counters and Heroes: Siege is not a cure for a failed rally
For mixed enemies consider Heroes, formation and the previous battle report: the largest troop count is not always the biggest threat. Compare your counter with the enemy your front will meet. After losing, address the cause—counter, boosts, filling or captain—instead of repeating the same setup.
Portraits below illustrate upgrade directions, not a mandatory five-Hero lineup. Choose developed Heroes with the relevant Battle Skills unlocked. Colosseum strength does not replace troop boosts.

The Lab: three slots, one transmutation
Community references describe storage for three Essences and one transmutation at a time. Base durations are 3, 8 or 12 hours; your actual timer depends on boosts. Alchemy and Pyris can reduce time; Sorcerer can finish the active transmutation under its skill’s conditions.
Before rallying: check a free slot → win an appropriate rally → confirm the Essence was received → start transmutation → claim. If storage is full, first decide which Essence to retain. Deleting an unwanted Essence costs Gold and forfeits its reward; do not discard a quest target blindly.
Rewards, Super Gem Time and time value
Ordinary transmutation rewards are random: do not price an Essence as a guaranteed specific item. A higher Essence may not best fit your login window; compare reward options, timer and storage. Planning example: an eight-hour timer may fit a workday and a twelve-hour one overnight if you can collect on time.
During Super Gem Time, Essences award Gems under the event rules. Community guidance ties this to reward collection: collect before the event ends. Before holding completed Essences, check the current description, end time and storage impact. We do not present an old Gem table as guaranteed for every future run.
Farmer and combat-account roles
- Farmer: fill a strong captain with the requested troop type, manage Lab space and your Essence quest. High Might without combat development does not make you a high-level nest captain.
- Captain: share target, troop type, capacity and timing. Start at a proven level, scale difficulty from real reports and keep a healing reserve. Do not promise wins based on Might alone.

These are examples, not complete five-Hero teams. Compare available grades and Battle Skills, not names alone.
Target check: Essence level and storage
For an “obtain Essence level N or higher” quest. Enter the reward level from the report, not the nest level. This is not a win simulator.
